Directions
From London by Car - If travelling by car, take the road out of London signposted The West and Heathrow Airport. You should now be on the M4. Continue on this road and leave the M4 at Junction 20. Join the M5 motorway signposted The South West, Bristol (West), Airport. Leave the M5 at junction 27, then at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A361 signposted Barnstaple, Tiverton. Continue on the A361 then take the A39 signposted Bideford, Bude and continue until you get to the A3073 signposted Bude.
You can always visit the AA website and use their Route Planner.
By Train/Coach - Take the train to Exeter St. Davids Station, or the Coach to Exeter Bus Station, then catch bus X9 to Bude which runs every 2 hours from both stations (but less frequently on Sundays & Public Holidays). No need to book - just pay the driver.
TIP - if you are travelling to Exeter by train, to find the bus stop outside St.Davids Station, turn left as you leave the station building and walk past the bus stop for the local buses until you get to the "country services" bus stop (I think it is next to a grey coloured bus shelter).
You can also get to Bude by bus from Plymouth, but going via Exeter is much easier (and cheaper !)
